At least something's in bloom

Although this week our trees are bursting into bloom as if they had to get it all done by the weekend (and given this spring, maybe they do) as of last week the main kind of blooms one could see were these:

It's so wonderfully colorful, and it always seems connected to Easter to me -- except that this year it's so late.
