Hollow Pond, Walthamstow, East London, UK
It being a gloriously sunny day today, I took my youngest daughter Freda for a walk around Hollow Pond by Whipps Cross Hospital in Walthamstow, London (UK). As is my usual wont, I had my camera with me.

We came across a large circular patch of burnt gorse, about 20' in diameter. A few scorched flowers still clung to the twisted branches.

Larger versions of all photos are available on my Flickr.

Lovely photos! I haven't seen a crested grebe in years.
