Top of the Wrekin
The rest of those photos as promised.
From the top of the Wrekin over towards the Welsh Hills:




We started back down the western scarp slope (one for experienced walkers)- the end of the foxgloves and there are already rowanberries out!


Wenlock's Wood from on high. You may recall my posting images from the wood a while back?

Summer growth on high growing conifers:

The peak in the distance is the Welsh mountain, Caer Caradoc:


I liked this!

A bird had dropped a hatched egg away from the nest:

And the thistles have flowered:


And the scramble down got us back to the path round the Wrekin which is our way home. A walk of about nine miles all told.
