Forest of Dean/Wye Not?

We just moved from central London to a woodland property (Forest of Dean/Wye Valley) this week, so I’m taking a lot of photos!

I found her in the furthest pasture, and I call her the Entwife.

A view from the woodland over the valley. (There’s a river in the centre of the shot if you squint really hard.)

Venturing into the woodland behind the house.

Down into our front pasture. I love the orange “shadow” of leaves around the tree.

Gorgeous.

You'll find you photography level goes way up and mine was already huge.

I suspect she may be a hawthorn or perhaps a blackthorn. You'll know for sure come spring when you get the blossom.

You say that like it's a bad thing........... :o)

They both blossom white, but the florets are slightly different.

I think between you and me we’re going to be inundating this page with West Midlands/SW England countryside ;)

Please do!
