Reed bunting

This fellow has been visiting the garden for about a week. At first we only had a couple of fleeting glimpses during which we went, "is that a sparrow...?" Today, however, the woodpecker in the previous post knocked a big chunk of fat ball out of the feeder, the little guy suddenly overcame his shyness, and we were able to identify him as a reed bunting.

Me too! I guess I've seen it a fair amount but it feels different once you've identified it, haha.
