Shropshire Spring

We took another walk in the Ercall forest last week to see how things were waking up.



Primroses!



And the bluebells beginning to poke their heads up:



Fungi, of course!



And lichens/mosses:



Nature creates its own art!

The hawthorn buds are just starting to open up:



Spring meets Autumn:



More fungi. These were HUGE!



A ewe and her lamb come to take a look at us:



This is Willowmoor farm down in the valley below the Wrekin:

This rejoices in the name of stinking hellebore (aka dungwort) Sounds like something out of Harry Potter!



And the lane that leads us back home after about two hundred yards:

Oh, these are just lovely! Thank you for sharing spring with those of us who haven't gotten there yet (it's subzero F and we still have a couple feet of snow on the ground).
