serenading starling

I usually only see Starlings (Sturnus vulgaris) in the summer but on my walk this morning I spotted this male singing his heart out:

We have seen bunches around lately but I don't know that we've heard any singing. Maybe they're already paired off? There is definitely nest building afoot with all the birds.

Bird migrations have changed a lot. Our yard has been all over blackbirds for a week. I've seen starlings earlier too.
