Sunflowers and More
There seemed to be a lot of sunflower fans last week so I'm adding a few more from another walk.
We went to the sunflower walk again. Not as pleasant -- despite a decent temperature the humidity was very high, the sun was out and given the torrential rain we received (which we were very glad of) the ground was muddy.
Also, a lot of the flowers had passed their peak, probably early because of dryness. But there was only one other person there during our walk so there's that. We had a few bird sightings, including the red winged blackbird up top.
A field of safflowers.
Last year I was amazed by the size of the sunflower core in one grown by a neighbor. That core looks to be about 20 inches high.
