This big and scarysmall and not scary at all spider was discovered on our ceiling. It was my macro lens that made it big and scary ;)

And the more I think about it, the more the triggering of my phobia speaks to your ability to photograph spiders well. It's gotten a lot better and I rarely get triggered these days - sometimes not even by real spiders - but this photo did the trick. It just looks so... spidery.

I have a photo of a similarly-tiny spider that I took a decade ago, its little black eyes look almost like a crown. (It's on an apple near the stem, so the scale is very evident. I left that apple in the tree.)
