And now about the spiders

This big and scary^{small and not scary at all} spider was discovered on our ceiling. It was my macro lens that made it big and scary ;)

It is adorable! And looks like it is wearing a bow in its hair. <3

It appears to be a type of jumping spider. They run around after prey rather than waiting in a web.

It could very well be. At least we didn't see it weaving a web.
