Garden Visitor

Hi, someone suggested that my photographs might be of interest to this community. I live in Tennessee, in the southern United States, and I have a patch of lavender in my garden that attracts a lot of interesting visitors. Here are a few shots of a recent one. I'm not that good at identification, so I'd be pleased if anyone can confirm or correct my guess, but I believe this is a Gulf Fritillary. All the shots are of the same butterfly from different angles. :D

Lovely! I agree it's a fritillary of some kind; couldn't say which (I'm awful at telling the frits apart).
