There were predictions of 4-8 inches of snow, which hardly ever happens anymore. But by Tuesday night I noticed that the hourly predictions had us right around the freezing mark overnight, meaning that at best there would be a light covering of snow because most of it wasn't going to stay frozen.<br /><br />Even so, my partner's workplace sent out a closure announcement Tuesday night. Wednesday AM, sure enough there was barely enough snow to cover the sidewalks. It looked real pretty on the bare trees but by 11 AM the trees were bare again (even though snow was coming down through the afternoon) as were the sidewalks and parking lot. <span class="cut-wrapper"><span style="display: none;" id="span-cuttag___1" class="cuttag"></span><b class="cut-open">( </b><b class="cut-text"><a href="https://common-nature.dreamwidth.org/227823.html#cutid1">Read more...</a></b><b class="cut-close"> )</b></span><div style="display: none;" id="div-cuttag___1" aria-live="assertive"></div><br /><br /><img src="https://www.dreamwidth.org/tools/commentcount?user=common_nature&ditemid=227823" width="30" height="12" alt="comment count unavailable" style="vertical-align: middle;"/> commentstag:dreamwidth.org,2010-03-11:486052:207666ysabetwordsmithYard Pictures: Purple-and-White Garden2022-05-15T04:43:08Z2022-05-15T04:43:08Zaccomplishedpublic18Posted by: <span lj:user='ysabetwordsmith' style='white-space: nowrap;' class='ljuser'><a href='https://ysabetwordsmith.dreamwidth.org/profile'><img src='https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png' alt='[personal profile] ' width='17' height='17' style='vertical-align: text-bottom; border: 0; padding-right: 1px;' /></a><a href='https://ysabetwordsmith.dreamwidth.org/'><b>ysabetwordsmith</b></a></span><br /><br />I took some pictures of my yard today.<br /><br /><span class="cut-wrapper"><span style="display: none;" id="span-cuttag___1" class="cuttag"></span><b class="cut-open">( </b><b class="cut-text"><a href="https://common-nature.dreamwidth.org/207666.html#cutid1">Walk with me ...</a></b><b class="cut-close"> )</b></span><div style="display: none;" id="div-cuttag___1" aria-live="assertive"></div><br /><br /><img src="https://www.dreamwidth.org/tools/commentcount?user=common_nature&ditemid=207666" width="30" height="12" alt="comment count unavailable" style="vertical-align: middle;"/> commentstag:dreamwidth.org,2010-03-11:486052:203111ysabetwordsmithYard Pictures: Flowerbeds and House Yard2022-04-13T04:39:06Z2022-04-13T04:39:06Zaccomplishedpublic8Posted by: <span lj:user='ysabetwordsmith' style='white-space: nowrap;' class='ljuser'><a href='https://ysabetwordsmith.dreamwidth.org/profile'><img src='https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png' alt='[personal profile] ' width='17' height='17' style='vertical-align: text-bottom; border: 0; padding-right: 1px;' /></a><a href='https://ysabetwordsmith.dreamwidth.org/'><b>ysabetwordsmith</b></a></span><br /><br />The final set of photos from today mostly covers the flowerbeds and the yard by the house. It's been raining for days now, and in the breaks I've gone wandering, thankful for the quiet and the lack of people, trying not to succumb to cabin fever. No one else is in here, maybe afraid of the mud, or of other people. The grass and the trees don't mind.<br /><br /><img src="https://www.dreamwidth.org/tools/commentcount?user=common_nature&ditemid=138627" width="30" height="12" alt="comment count unavailable" style="vertical-align: middle;"/> commentstag:dreamwidth.org,2010-03-11:486052:133927yourlibrarianScenes from the New Season2019-11-03T22:08:34Z2019-11-03T22:08:34Zpublic16Posted by: <span lj:user='yourlibrarian' style='white-space: nowrap;' class='ljuser'><a href='https://yourlibrarian.dreamwidth.org/profile'><img src='https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png' alt='[personal profile] ' width='17' height='17' style='vertical-align: text-bottom; border: 0; padding-right: 1px;' /></a><a href='https://yourlibrarian.dreamwidth.org/'><b>yourlibrarian</b></a></span><br /><br /><img src="https://img.pillowfort.social/posts/4f9c28e24be5_IMG_20191024_091955924.jpg"> <span class="cut-wrapper"><span style="display: none;" id="span-cuttag___1" class="cuttag"></span><b class="cut-open">( </b><b class="cut-text"><a href="https://common-nature.dreamwidth.org/133927.html#cutid1">Read more...</a></b><b class="cut-close"> )</b></span><div style="display: none;" id="div-cuttag___1" aria-live="assertive"></div><br /><br /><img src="https://www.dreamwidth.org/tools/commentcount?user=common_nature&ditemid=133927" width="30" height="12" alt="comment count unavailable" style="vertical-align: middle;"/> commentstag:dreamwidth.org,2010-03-11:486052:110978yourlibrarianBits of Nature at San Jacinto2018-07-16T18:33:26Z2018-07-16T18:33:26Zpublic4Posted by: <span lj:user='yourlibrarian' style='white-space: nowrap;' class='ljuser'><a href='https://yourlibrarian.dreamwidth.org/profile'><img src='https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png' alt='[personal profile] ' width='17' height='17' style='vertical-align: text-bottom; border: 0; padding-right: 1px;' /></a><a href='https://yourlibrarian.dreamwidth.org/'><b>yourlibrarian</b></a></span><br /><br />Some photos from the park around the San Jacinto monument in Texas (June 22, 2018)<br /><br /><img src="https://pillowfortmedia.s3.amazonaws.com/posts/09f31e996451_2018%20SanJacinto12.JPG"> <span class="cut-wrapper"><span style="display: none;" id="span-cuttag___1" class="cuttag"></span><b class="cut-open">( </b><b class="cut-text"><a href="https://common-nature.dreamwidth.org/110978.html#cutid1">Read more...</a></b><b class="cut-close"> )</b></span><div style="display: none;" id="div-cuttag___1" aria-live="assertive"></div><br /><br /><img src="https://www.dreamwidth.org/tools/commentcount?user=common_nature&ditemid=110978" width="30" height="12" alt="comment count unavailable" style="vertical-align: middle;"/> commentstag:dreamwidth.org,2010-03-11:486052:86888Lizsome days "because sun" is the only reason you need2017-04-19T00:16:19Z2017-04-19T00:19:31Zpublic19Posted by: <span lj:user='ahundredindecisions' style='white-space: nowrap;' class='ljuser'><a href='https://ahundredindecisions.dreamwidth.org/profile'><img src='https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png' alt='[personal profile] ' width='17' height='17' style='vertical-align: text-bottom; border: 0; padding-right: 1px;' /></a><a href='https://ahundredindecisions.dreamwidth.org/'><b>ahundredindecisions</b></a></span><br /><br />Today was one of those days where spring just grabbed me by the shoulders and shook me, saying ISN'T THIS GLORIOUS?!
