Spider + victim

This photo is behind a cut because arachnids are not everyone’s favourite and this one is having a meal.



We found this spider indoors, feasting on its unidentified victim. The children were fascinated and watched it for a good 20 minutes, until it abandoned the dried husk and scampered off to the shadows.

Heh, my SO is afraid of spiders so I have to do all the hunting when they come indoors. Never seen one at a meal though, I'm not surprised the kids were fascinated. Quite the photo!

I don't mind spiders, but when a big one suddenly appears in the house, it is a bit of a shock! We've seen some impressively sized orb-weaver spiders feasting in our garden.
