Today's woodland walk........
Took in a lot of hedgerow plants.

It is although I couldn't tell you what variety- those heads will turn bright purple later in the Summer.

That gate leads into some protected chestnut coppice where they are trying to get the old coppicing crafts going again and that's so good to see.
Oak is a favoured hedgerow building plant here along with holly and blackthorn.
