Lupin & Poppies
It has been an incredibly dry and cold winter/spring here in Northern California. That means that the grass hasn't grown much so it isn't overwhelming the flowers and we are being treated to quite a show.

What other wildflowers are blooming in NorCal right now?

I've never seen one of the occasional the mass blooms in the desert, it is sort of on my bucket list.

I think coastal lupin blooms quite a lot later here too, but then some of it is perennial. This lupin, a very dwarf annual form, is a spring bloomer.
I'm looking forward to being in Anchorage (and out and about) in August, a little later than usual so maybe I'll have a double lupin year!
