Or at least none that we saw. The heron has been around a good bit lately. Caught them above seeming to look pensively at the growing sunset.



What we've been seeing less of are the ducks, who must be hanging out somewhere else because we only get visits every once in a while and not by the large group. I'm guessing it's due to the algae sinking under the surface now that the weather has cooled.

I love herons--they're so majestic :) I see one occasionally by the stormpond and it's just amazing when they fly overhead.

Yeah, they're such big birds it's definitely a sight when they take off.
