Gosling Kerfuffle

Some baby geese were born nearby and I spotted them around our lake.



But I also managed to catch two of them starting a squabble.







Mama or Papa was definitely not getting involved.



Nor were the other siblings who were only looking for snacks.

Precious! I grew up outside of their breeding range so I only ever saw adults, so when I moved north it was a delight to see the babies for the first time.

I spotted these babies again (looking rather less adorable) yesterday and was reminded to post these. The ball of fluff stage is really precious.
