Black Forest landscape

overview over a forest landscape with hills

A calm moment in the late afternoon / early evening summer sun.


And what a difference a few hours can make:
the same view over the landscape as in the first picture. this time, the faint orange glow of the sun setting (out of view) shines over the horizon. the colours are muted, less vibrant, and somehow gentler than in the first picture

The pictures are from a spontaneous hike on which I went two weeks ago. The evening light was so soft and warm.

Both photos are beautiful and the view itself is just gorgeous!

Thank you! It was the first time I went that particular track. It went through the forest, so this view was one of the few places where you could see over the landscape. Coming out of the trees and seeing this view was just magical.
