More on the Goslings + Celestial Bodies

Last month I posted about some baby geese getting into squabbles. Since then, they've been growing up.





After passing out of that awkward tween stage, they are nearly full grown.



A few weeks back the moon and Venus were in close proximity in early evening. I was never able to get very clear pics, but here are some of the better shots.

I have managed to get some good moon shots in the past but only when it was full. Trying to get close ups when it's just a sliver and Venus looks like a dot...yeah, not much luck. It's always surprising how close something can look to the eye but then I see the shot and it doesn't look as impressive.

The awkward tween stage, haha. Doesn't matter the species, it does kind of suck :D Nice to see them all grown up! The sky colours in that second to last pic are lovely :)

Yes! They go from being cute to quite unlovely to sleek and striking. And yes, there was a nice glow then.

We have the young starlings arguing among themselves here atm! :o)

Ha! We don't have the food plate out during the summer but in spring we would frequently hear the finches having a throw down.

Venus has continued to be really bright in our sky but usually the moon was across from it. Of course, it seemed to be a lot clearer to our eye than it ended up being to the camera!
