Night and Thereabouts

Liked the mix of moon sliver with dark clouds and orange sunset





A night with a really clear full moon. Distant shot above, close-up below. What I particularly liked was seeing the red edges to the bottom half of the moon.





There seemed to be more stripes in person but you can still see the layering of what looks like candy striped clouds.



What struck me about this view was (just right of center) a cloud opening that looked like an overhead light fixture switched on.

Beautiful photos! I particularly like the first one with the crescent moon, it captures the colours of the twilight-about-to-turn-into-night perfectly.
