Sunflower Fields in 2024

Our sunflower field opened for visitors and the weather cooled off enough for a very pleasant stroll. Large areas have been cleared or mowed down for people to walk on, but some flowers persisted. We found several which were lying on the ground and we were able to prop them back up by gathering some of the debris around the base.

Although sunflowers are famous for facing and following the sun with their flowers, a cloudy morning like the one on our visit seems to confuse them. There are at least four different directions showing in this photo.

2 photos at different angles of how flowers ended up entwined, propping one another up.

This group of sunflowers looked like a family with two parents looking down indulgently on the baby sunflower.

Standing out from the crowd.

The variety of unorthodox camera angles and perspectives makes for a candid Helianthus family album; thank you!

Wow!
I found a sunflower field near me and took pictures, but they're not posted because the upload tool was offline at the time.
