Sunrise and Sunsets

It was actually about 7 AM several weeks ago when I took this so it wasn't anywhere near sunrise. But I noticed that while it stays light longer now, that overcast days tended to have a slow spread of sunshine in the morning. Anyway, made for some great colors and shadows.

For a few nights we were seeing a diagonal line going across the horizon during sunset. In closer views it looks like a fiery slash across the sky.



Another nice contrast in the sky.



This was last night's sunset. It had some pretty colors and designs.

The top picture looks like a Tonalist study; the fifth has the warm translucence of a Mexican fire opal.
