Oneonta Gorge

Our next stop on the trip that day was Oneonia Gorge. It has a tunnel through the rock in between the trees, though we didn't go through it. Instead, we stopped just before it to take pictures of the creek and gorge.

That's amazing, and must be even more so in person!

A fair number of dead trees up on the slopes in that third picture? or was that just an odd artifact of the photo?

Oh no, you'll be seeing dead trees in a lot of photos. It seemed all over the state as we went we saw evidence of fires.
