Wormhole Moon
This past month we tried to get photos of the Super Snow Moon but we had a very cloudy sky (as often seems to be the case at night) so opportunities were limited. However, I think it came out perhaps all the cooler for it because I swear it looks like some kind of interdimensional portal opening in the sky!

Google Photos is doable but takes extra steps. They don't automatically give you an embedable link so I've used a workaround. If you're interested I can list some steps for you.

If you are posting from an outside link, DO use the Rich Text link button as the HTML link has been broken for some years.
Using the Rich Text mode for pictures is especially annoying since the only way I can see to do a cut, and thus spare readers endless pics, is to use the HTML command!!

Interesting that the HTML link is broken -- because that explains a lot. It really doesn't work well to use rich text.
Dang it. Sometimes I miss Livejournal, I could do polls on LJ and post photos without any issues. Sure it was run by evil homophobic Russians who wanted to co-opt my content and bombard me with weird spam and ads, but hey I could post pictures and do polls without any issues.

LJ was, from the very first, extremely insensitive to most of their users, making abrupt changes with no notice or general input. DW may have its problems, but at least it is very respectful of its users.
I'd say that Photobucket has been much the same. They repeatedly reorganized my photos and made changes to their system that resulted in my being unable to access their site from my Linux machine (before they ever went live to the public I did give them feedback on this issue - they told me it wasn't important). Three or four years ago I had had enough and got a Smug Mug account. Night and Day. Lots of support from the site. Extremely easy import of my whole Photobucket account (though I did have to re-establish links to DW) NO reorganization of my photos. I suppose you get what you pay for, though I did pay for Photobucket for a while, until they "upgraded" the site so I couldn't access it one time too many.

Also agree on Photobucket, I prefer Google, which is harder to use, but doesn't make your content inaccessible unless you pay -- after sucking you in with a free account. If they want to be a paid/commercial account -- do it upfront. Don't do it on the back-end.

While I remember all that, I didn't experience any of it directly -- in part because I didn't provide them with a link to my FB account (so they couldn't link it) and a lot of those changes didn't happen until around 2007. Granted FB didn't arrive for non-collegiate folks until around 2008. So between 2003-2006, LJ was pretty decent. Then the software engineers running it got bored and greedy, and well...
