Wormhole Moon

This past month we tried to get photos of the Super Snow Moon but we had a very cloudy sky (as often seems to be the case at night) so opportunities were limited. However, I think it came out perhaps all the cooler for it because I swear it looks like some kind of interdimensional portal opening in the sky!

I agree regarding LJ and DW, DW is more respectful. LJ...stopped being respectful after it was bought out. And I finally got fed up. Hasta La Vista - LJ.

Also agree on Photobucket, I prefer Google, which is harder to use, but doesn't make your content inaccessible unless you pay -- after sucking you in with a free account. If they want to be a paid/commercial account -- do it upfront. Don't do it on the back-end.

In my experience LJ was never respectful from the very first. Brad seldom announced changes, he just made them, and he opted people into things by default instead of leaving the choice up to individuals. This included outing everyone with a link to their Facebook account. That said, things did change and get worse after it was bought out.

While I remember all that, I didn't experience any of it directly -- in part because I didn't provide them with a link to my FB account (so they couldn't link it) and a lot of those changes didn't happen until around 2007. Granted FB didn't arrive for non-collegiate folks until around 2008. So between 2003-2006, LJ was pretty decent. Then the software engineers running it got bored and greedy, and well...
