Holly Blue

Holly Blues (Celastrina argiolus) are apparently quite common here in Sweden but this is the first time I've seen one myself. It perched on a Wood Anemone (Anemone nemorosa) long enough for me to get a photo, which I thought was very nice of it!

That was very polite for it to sit still that long. Love it.

Lovely little thing, and yes, difficult to photograph as even by butterfly standards, they rarely sit still for long!

I have seen several butterflies here in central Illinois, cabbage whites, but none of them deigned to sit still long enough to photograph.
