Grand Marais Harbor & Ice Patterns

Stopped by the Grand Marais harbor as we were passing through because the water was so blue it was too amazing to pass by without some photos.

Our weather has been all over the place and so our own lake has been freezing and thawing. I thought the look of the ice patterns looked great, as did the building reflections making color bars.

Excellent images
...are the white shapes between the lake and cloud bank in photo 1 ice pack that's been lifted up in freeze-thaw, or a whole bunch of seagulls, or ???
(I'm surprised at the lack of ice fishers, who risk their lives on the thinnest skins of ice in Madison.)
Re: Excellent images
The ice in the bottom pics are from the lake at home -- the day in Grand Marais was coolish but nowhere near freezing.

Wish we had some of that blue here. It is grey, and feels like it will be grey forever... or possibly until April. 😊
