Dragonflies, damselflies, birds, landscapes, etc.

I've kept on forgetting to post to here/not had enough time to, so here's a backlog of a lot of photos. All 800 pixels wide. Australia.

Red and Blue Damselfly.

Taken 15 May 2008, Sydney, Australia.

As we had such a cool summer that year, most of the orb weavers didn't get enough time to collect food, so they all went nuts with the web building to get enough food. There was some giant webs which were beautiful on a rare dewy morning.

View from Norm's Lookout, Tasmania
Taken 2 Aug 2008. Norm's Lookout is near Ringarooma, and from it you can also see Ralphs Falls. I got bad vertigo standing at this lookout, but it was worth it. I think it was starting to rain/sleet/snow when we were there.

Taken when Comet McNaught was in Sydney's skies. This was the beautiful sunset we had before McNaught appeared.

Wow.

I am enthralled by the wings - such delicacy and beauty! And such great shots you got of them.

And the landscapes are glorious!

Thanks for posting.

Lovely stuff. The view from Cape Tourville is so sharp and clear that my brain expected to hear and smell the ocean. :-)
