We went for a walk into the Ercall Forest which is pretty much on our doorstep.
Things are greening up. A lot of the green here is wild garlic which you smell way before you see it!

A temporary pool. We've had so much rain this Winter!

While this one's permanent:

Wild garlic close up. When it flowers, this'll be a carpet of white blossoms:

Birch heading for mulchdome:

Such a huge crop of wild garlic! Usually when this does well, so do the bluebells which come next in succession, so watch this space!

And further in we went:

Found art!

And a wood dragon!

Lumpy stumpy!

And another wood creature:

This forest often reminds me of Mirkwood and here's why:

Ivy doing its thing!

This one will go in next Winter's storms, I suspect:

Sheeps! We've not seen a lamb with any flock this year. I think the farmers haven't put the rams in because times are hard.

More found art:

The streams are still full after the wet Winter:

Daffs! Wild ones!

This is lesser celandine which we see a lot of locally:

On the way home I noticed a miniature forest on top of a decorative ball on someone's wall!

And that was our walk. :o)
