This is a male banded demoiselle that I saw on the way home from work a couple of weeks ago. Sometimes I get off the bus a few stops early and take this nature path next to a small stream. He was very cooperative and let me take a few pictures. The internet tells me it's a common critter around here, but I'm not sure I've ever seen one before.
