This glorious mass of flowering sloe was the highlight of my walk this morning.

I'd passed other sloe shrubberies and had only seen tiny buds so seeing this one was a very happy suprise. Particularly since the weather has turned cold and nasty again. I really needed that reminder of spring.

It was fantastic. Sloe blossom almost looks like snow, they're so intensely white and closely packed.
