We spotted a bird out by the lake which seems to be a common sandpiper. I've run across a nest of eggs before but haven't seen one of these in our neighborhood. ( Read more... )

Comma butterfly (UK)
Aug. 17th, 2023 10:39 pmmorrowI am frequently an insect-magnet due to wearing bright colours (especially this yellow shirt) but this time I had my phone within reach. A beautiful Comma butterfly, who stayed and rested on my wrist for about 5 minutes before continuing their journey.
