Common Nature

So many of the plants I grew up thinking of as "pretty, but just a weed" have turned out to be edible and/or medicinal once I learned what they were, it's amazing. As a kid I sort of thought that wild edibles were things that you only found in, like, desert islands, or under one certain kind of tree in the depths of a national park, but no! We live among bounty every day! (Of course, it's probably just as well I didn't know that as a kid, or I would have tried to actually eat the "meals" I put together in the yard.)
