A walk along the River Teme

We crossed Dinham bridge again and you can see Ludlow castle in the background:

Reflections:

The local rock is dolerite:

Another of the weirs on the Teme. That's a salmon ladder at the bottom there:

Onward and upward- the steps are cut out of the rock:


A view of St Lawrence church in Ludlow, known as the 'cathedral of the marches' although it isn't a cathedral (it's easily big enough). It has a memorial to the poet AE Housman who wrote much about Shropshire:

The medival watermill on the river- it still works to this day providing hydro power:

A calm spot where there are kingfishers although we didn't see any this time:
