Photos: House Yard
Feb. 26th, 2026 11:06 pmToday I took some pictures around the yard and did a couple of garden crafts. These are from the house yard and savanna. (See the Worm Bin and the Water Garden.)
Buds are starting to swell on the maple tree in the house yard.

A fox squirrel scolded from high in a tree.

The log garden has lots of flower shoots at the base.

Here is a closeup of some flower shoots.

This one is oddly pink with gold tips.

This pale lavender crocus blooms in the goddess garden.

These miniature iris shoots are emerging near the daffodil bed.

The daffodil bed has many more shoots now.

The tulip bed also has more shoots.

At the east end of the savanna, many snowdrops have naturalized.

The flower buds are just beginning to open.

Date: 2026-03-01 02:15 am (UTC)It's been a yo-yo here too, but not quite that bad. Yesterday was 69F, today in the 60s also. Then it rained in the afternoon. Now it is cold with howling wind. 0_o
