Not the best photos because of the high zoom, but because I walk dogs I don't get the opportunity to photograph these wonderful creatures often, was delighted when this one kept coming towards us and sat for a moment before running off like the wind!

I never see hares like this; we have Eastern Cottontails, which are adorable (when they're not eating everything in your vegetable garden, that is), but this fellow is downright noble.

Classic poser if you ask me! Seemed quite determined to get a portrait, even came out of the shadows and into the light before sitting for me. I'd like to capture one of the really big boys one day, maybe next year.

They are quite magnificent and the older males are really big compared to a rabbit, pretty sure this was either a youngster or maybe a female? Not entirely sure, but on the small side to some I've seen. They are very different though when you see one in motion, the longer legs give them a totally different gait, once seen never forgotten.
