Hello!

I was out for a run this morning, and I'm not the sort of person who is very concerned about how fast and far I can go. Whether I'm on a running or a walking interval, if I see something worth looking at, I stop and look. Previously, it's mostly been frogs, but today I met this chap sitting in the grass next to the bicycle path.



Isn't he cute? He had a friend as well, but said friend was not interested in being observed.

I've been trying to find out. He was really tiny, but this time of year it could be he was just very young. I'm leaning towards wood mouse though, because of the short body.

Is that a field mouse? It looks like the ones near the house - but the only times those visit is when the cats bring them in. :(

That's what I'm leaning towards, because of the short body. I'm uncertain, though. I'm not strong in the identification of mice. :)
