Speeding tracks sunset

This sunset happened a few days ago. Although the pictures look good, it still doesn't quite capture the surrounding kind of view in person with the whole sky a blazing orange.

The top photo stood out to me because of the way the clouds seem to blur as they head to the horizon, as if they're speeding there. To the lower right was a set of what looked like tire tracks to me which I cropped to in the second shot.

No, in fact we've had rain predicted for several days this past week but none arrived.

Beautiful -- we just had a similar sunset here that I was admiring outside my windows. But was unable to successfully capture it on film.

Yeah, we're lucky because our balcony faces west and we have a fairly unobstructed view, so we keep an eye out most nights to see if we're going to get a show.
