So pretty to see, so annoying when they eat my bulbs.

Cute little baby. It's actually been quite awhile since I've seen one. They're not as urban as grey squirrels, I guess, at least not around here.

Great picture and couldn't have been easy to get. Chipmunks don't like to hold still for pictures.

Its ears are so long! The only chipmunk I'm really familiar with is the Easter Chipmunk, but I'm thinking this must be a different species?

Possibly this, based on the OP's profile location? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red-tailed_chipmunk

Oh, yes, that looks very probable. Thank you!

And of course, sadly enough, there is no such thing as the Easter Chipmunk, I just failed to put enough pressure on the N key.

I'm strangely tempted to invent the Easter chipmunk now.

That was really striking to me as well. I'm used to tiny round ears on chipmunks.

Interesting, a quick search through Google suggests that most of the species found West of the Rockies( which is a surprising number of them, though they don't look hugely different to me), have longer, pointier ears than those to the east. One could postulate a story where someone figures out a location based on a chipmunk sighting.

That is one of my favorite kinds of things in stories.

And yes, they are all clearly chipmunks, all right.
