Scenes from the New Season

Our first snow of this season arrived last week. I rather liked the following blurry photo of the foliage through a watery pane.



Our bird visitors to the food plate like to gather on the railing. I'd have thought they'd hang out somewhere out of the wind!



The next day there was still snow hanging around though it has since disappeared.

Glorious colours. Those pink bushes are spectacular!

I think they're called fire bushes -- they do turn an astounding color in autumn :)

What gorgeous trees! I never get enough of seeing red trees in autumn.

We're supposed to get our first snow on Friday. It seems so early.

It seemed really early for us as well. Snow in October is not common, but then that is probably also because rain can be sporadic, so the temperatures can be cold enough but we just don't have precipitation.

It's a pity much of it transitions quickly, but then our springs and autumns have shortened a lot too.

I've seen some really pretty foliage this past week. The confetti drop of leaves is wonderful to watch.
