I ventured a couple of blocks from home yesterday and saw all kinds of plant friends.

This first pic shows the median strip of a street, in a suburb of Riga, Latvia. I think the yellow flowers might be wild radish, but I'm not sure. There's lots of them everywhere.

This is probably called shepherd's-purse. I'm almost sure.

I think you're right about the shepherd's purse. I've had some in my yard intermittently for years and got a friend who did wildflower walks in local parks to confirm my ID. I really like it; it doesn't look like much from a distance but its detail is all so pretty.

I think the yellow behind the dandelion is rape/canola, part of the mustard family.

They're pretty endemic in North America from bird seed. (Possibly from before that, but that was pretty sure how one batch in Texas happened and might apply elsewhere.)

I've seen art of the harvest of them, so I can imagine that they do 'roam' off. Corn and soybeans aren't quite as easily spread, and those are the crops I know best, for a given value of urban dweller knows anything Farm.
