Another walk

We headed out today via Limekiln Lane.

This was once an industrial landscape as the name suggests. Where we live was where the Industrial Revolution began in the 17th century.

You wouldn't know it now!







Foxgloves (digitalis) are a common woodland plant locally and they're just beginning to blossom.



I loved the way this barbed wire had caught the leaf!

That hedgerow was absolutely full of dog roses.

Foxglove is so pretty. Although I'm vaguely reminded of a few of Agatha Christie's novels now...

There's a connection to our little town too- Dr William Withering, who discovered the medicinal uses of foxglove was a local boy.

We are lucky to be surrounded by woodland and moorland walks which is a good way to stay sane in these 'interesting times'!
