We took a further walk yesterday out to Limekiln Woods and Huntington as we'd discovered a path we'd never walked so thought we'd add it to the local knowledge.
Rowanberries and birch in Limekiln Woods. We get a lot of the hill loving species locally:

More foxgloves going to seed:

Huntington Woods and a big sky!

This is the said unexplored path which goes from the edge of Limekiln Woods to the dew pond at Huntington:

And has quite a nice view of the Wrekin on top of which we were the other day.

Some blooms:

Old coppice on the edge of the Wrekin Forest:

And some rather splendid fungi in the same area:

And a tangle in Black Hayes woodland.

We walked home via the Little Wenlock Road. About nine miles in all.
Have a good weekend, all.
