It's not the finest photo I've ever taken of a small bird - I didn't have the telephoto with me - but we were chuffed to have spotted a kingfisher perched above the lake on an early morning walk around Charlecote Park (Warwickshire, UK).

The kingfisher is one of the most colourful UK birds. There is a multitude of Little Brown Bird species as well!
