Another walk in the woodland and beyond

 Wednesday was a reasonable day so we headed out into the woods!



This one was dying back but still a lovely thing:





This one still going strong:



Lichen at its acid green yellow best!



And a wooden spider breaking free!



Marsh grass!



And a close up on gorse in bloom:



This yellow lichen is known as......yellow lichen.



And some more beautiful fungi:





Along the lane to Little Worth (yes, there really is a hamlet called Little Worth locally)  :o)



And we met some lambs!



What is this wooden creature?



Along the track from Wrekin Farm:



Well camouflaged but there are deer along the woodland edge there!



Can you see the dryad hugging her tree?

Thank you for scratching my "when is it going to be spring?" itch. *looks sadly out where it was snowing just yesterday and a meter of the stuff is still on the ground*

Spring does appear to have finally sprung here!

We'd been wondering where the lambs had got to as none of the edge of town flocks had any, but there they are! o)

Gorse is a huge favourite of mine and the bees adore it.

We'd known this region for many years before we decided to up sticks and move here.

To give you some idea, the competition was the Orkney islands and Tuscany which may tell you something about the place!
