These are seriously amazing; thank you so much for sharing them! Every time I see photos of other states, I just want to get around to ALL the awesome places in Australia.
Yeah, I've not visited a lot of states. As an adult, I've been to Alice Springs and Uluru, Tasmania, and Canberra (and a few places in NSW, being a Sydneysider). As a kid, I did go to the Gold Coast (and possibly Brisbane), but I don't remember it. I want to travel more in Australia.
Tassie was gorgeous. I went in winter and it was fantastic weather for walking. Spent 10 days going around most of the outside of it, and the beaches on the east coast are phenomenal, the rainforest areas on the west coast are phenomenal (and were bloody cold! You drove a bit further west (and up), and there was a ski field/half-frozen lake), Cradle Mountain was freezing and beautiful. Port Arthur was amazing, Mt Wellington was too. Really loved it, so much so that if I could get a job in my area down there, I would take it.
If you wanted to see some of what it was like, there are some photos here (and a better idea of what areas looked like from headers I made here, here, and here).
Wonderful shots! Looks like a perfect autumn day - the light and shadows are lovely. The last shot is especially striking - it would make a good icon, I think!
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing. I had to figure out what that last tree was. Apparently, it's a Monkey-puzzle Tree (Araucaria araucana). The first one with the wren almost looks like a fruit tree (maybe apple or pear), but I doubt it.
Yeah, my mum had told me what the Monkey-puzzle Tree was, but I couldn't remember. The first quite possibly is some sort of fruit tree, because the gardens have blossoms in spring, including from fruit trees.
