Silly wee thing!

We were out walking yesterday and came across a yearling doe with her first fawn.

Mum saw us, panicked and jumped that fence to put distance between us, leaving the little one confused and scared as it couldn't get through or over.



Thankfully, the fawn eventually realised that there was a gate a bit further up the fence with wide enough crossbars to get through and mother and fawn were eventually re-united.

Now that they know about the gate, maybe they'll visit more often. :)

We see a lot of deer in those particular fields, but usually as a herd.
