yourlibrarian: Hummingbird Profile (NAT-Hummingbird Profile-yourlibrarian)
[personal profile] yourlibrarian posting in [community profile] common_nature

We may have spotted one yesterday but clearly most have moved on as they practically laid siege to our feeder each day for several weeks.

However it's been rather quiet since a downturn in temperatures we had 2 weeks ago, even though it's been back in the 80s this past week. Temperatures aside the days are certainly getting shorter and the flowers dying back so I guess they figured it was time to migrate.

Still, here are some pics to remember them by.

While here, the swallows and martins have now flown south.

We have nothing like these little birds here.
