This is the very best time of year for woodland fungi.

These are from our two most recent walks.

Two varieties here. The knobbly black one has the wonderful name of 'King Alfred's Cakes'. The other is a species of mazegill:





This bracket was huge- about two feet across!



A couple of smaller varieties:







Someone obviously finds this one to their taste!
