common_nature | Nature Scenes from the Past Few Weeks

You can't see that many of them in the photos but there was a huge flock of birds swirling around the sky yesterday morning when I went on a walk. I was able to get some of them on a video which also captured the sound -- my partner said it seemed like a scene from The Birds. There was a pretty color on the horizon, even if it was already 9 AM by then.

Nice colors for a sunset the other night too.

I've been managing some morning walks and was noticing the frost patterns. Anything that is still in shadow has a sheen of white, while anything else has color, creating patterns like ocean waves on sand.

I also spotted a leaf that was partially covered with frost that twinkled in the sun. Very Christmasy!

One night the Moon was low and bright despite being a quarter moon, and Venus was very close to it in the sky. I find it remarkable we could see the Moon shadows even in the dark.
